Welcome to the Ontario Student Budget Consultation.

This is a non-partisan project of CIVIX, a new charity that connects young Canadians with their government.

Here's how it works...

Once you're ready, proceed through the site watching the videos and answering the questions that follow. The questions will test your knowledge of the budgeting process — to make sure you know what you're talking about — and will also measure your values.

For example, should we raise taxes? Cut spending? Or both?

That's up to you.

Our job is to gather the results and share them with the Minister of Finance and the media, so that all of Ontario knows what you think should be done about our deficit.

Why does this matter?

If the deficit and all of the problems that go along with it aren't fixed, you and your friends will have to deal with that down the road. No one wants to deal with that down the road.
